January 30: Peace and Non-violence Day

This week we are celebrating Peace Day.
Watch this presentation about Peace Heroes

Peace Heroes
1. Why do we celebrate Peace Day the 31st of January? Look for the answers on the web:

Think about a symbol and a motto. For instance, the dove is a symbol for peace. A motto is a sentence which has a message. For instance: "Peace is where to people understand each other"

Don't forget to crate your symbol and motto before January 29.

Let´s sing! Can you remember the missing words?

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you ……….
No hell below us
Above us only ………..
Imagine all the ………
Living for today.
Imagine there’s no …………..I
t isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the ………….
Living life in …………..…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only ………..
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as …….

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world.
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only …….
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as …….

The “School Day of Non-violence and Peace” was founded in 1964.It is also known as World or International Day of Non-violence and Peace.

These are five important people for us: Toni Morrison, Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin, Ada Augusta Byron, Marjorie Jackson Nelson, and Edmonia Lewis. Do you know them? What do they have in common?
